How to send a parcel abroad for not all the money in the world?

When it would seem that all the "circles of hell" have been passed and the seller has registered at the selected marketplace, a new quest begins - how to deliver the sold goods to the final buyer.

Of course, when choosing a method of delivery, you should pay attention to the following factors:

  • Delivery speed
  • Security
  • The time spent on registration of the shipment

Let's look at some of them:

Delivery speed

If the buyer does not want to wait for his order or it is necessary for a specific date, SkladUSA recommends using the express shipment service. In this case, the goods will arrive to their recipient in a few days. For example, packages arrive in the USA in 4-6 days. The cost of sending a small package up to one kilogram in this case will be about $30 (you can calculate the cost according to your parameters here).

In the event that the customer has time to wait and he does not want to overpay for delivery or the supplier offers it for free, you should consider the option of consolidated shipping.
SkladUSA's consolidated shipment service involves processing a large number of orders and sending them simultaneously to a warehouse in the United States (Minnesota) with subsequent delivery to the buyer by local mail.
This format of sending usually takes more time - the shipment takes 6-10 days to the USA, and from there it is delivered by local mail at the customer's choice (USPS, FedEx). The cost of sending a package up to one kilogram by consolidation will be about $20 (you can calculate the cost according to your parameters here).

Keep in mind that if your parcel weighs more than 5kg, it makes sense to immediately consider express shipment, as the cost of the service will be about the same as for consolidation, but you will save time for delivery.

Security

Of course, the speed of delivery is not enough, it is important to be sure that nothing will happen with the order on the road. To do this, firstly, follow the rules of packaging and labeling of goods, and secondly, use additional methods of material protection of the shipment from carriers.

Marking rules
The SkladUSA system already has an automated function for creating shipments, so the main thing here is to follow the instructions clearly. First of all, you need to choose the product you send and the materials from which it is made, from the list provided by the system. All products of the system have a specific description that meets the requirements of the carrier and the rules of customs control. In addition, from July 1, to be sent to Europe, the documents must contain the product code, which is also automatically pulled up in the SkladUSA system.

Packing rules
To save your goods during the trip, you need to watch how it is packaged. If the product is fragile or affected by moisture - provide it with additional protection.

Insurance
All consolidations sent by SkladUSA through FedEx are automatically insured for $26/kg. In case the goods are expensive or need additional protection, you can choose additional material protection from the carrier.

The time spent on registration of the shipment

And in order not to spend a lot of time preparing documents for shipment and finding the best delivery methods, simply register in the SkladUSA system and link all your stores in your personal account so that orders are formed automatically, and you only have to choose the convenient type of delivery.
